Nowadays, most smartphones from the midrange and up are metal-made, cool to the touch, and pretty to look at. But what are most still missing? A massive battery to keep their lights on for longer-than-ordinary times! Well, UMIDIGI's new flagship smartphone seeks to address this ailment by packing a massive juice pack under their relatively thin bodies.

The UMIDIGI Z1 Pro is a metal-made handset with an aggressive red back and sleek black front. It sports a 5.5-inch, 1080 x 1920 pixel AMOLED display, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 SoC, clocked at 2.3 GHz and paired with 6 GB of RAM. We've got 64 GB of on-board storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 256 extra GB. And the battery? UMIDIGI's pride — a 4,000 mAh crammed inside a phone that is 0.27 in (6.95 mm) thin!

On the back of the Z1 Pro, we have a dual camera module – a 13 MP main sensor is assisted by a 5 MP secondary one for better depth perception. Other popular features, such as live photos and manual mode are also present in the app. On the front, there is a 5 MP selfie snapper for your mugshot needs.

So, what about price? The UMIDIGI Z1 Pro will be available in a limited batch of 1,000 units at a pre-sale price of $299.99, starting the June 26th. A downgraded sibling, UMIDIGI Z1, which has a 5.5-inch LCD display, a slightly thicker metal body (0.32 in / 8.2 mm), but the same hardware and huge battery, will be more widely available, priced at $229.99 during the pre-order stage and then jumping up to $269.99 when it hits retail.
