A Polish website, focused on Android devices, has managed to examine on video the LG E900, which was previously leaked together with the QWERTY C900, now rumored to be named the Pacific. The E900 should be having a 3.7" LCD capacitive touchscreen, and the Pacific - a 3.5" one.
Engadget are saying it will have the new 1.3GHz Snapdragon, which is made with 45nm technology, but all we are seeing in the Polish source is Qualcomm's QSD8650 cited, which is the regular 1GHz Snapdragon, but supporting both CDMA and UMTS 3G bands.
The 1.3GHz chipset goes under the QSD8650A numbering, so we wouldn't get out hopes too high here for anything above 1GHz. It's the same chip we saw in recent FCC filings of the LG GW910 (Panther) WP7 handset. The Polish source also cites $300-$400 as the alleged price range for the E900, presumably unlocked, so we'd dare to say a regular Snapdragon is inside, if that price rings true. When you run the Polish text through Google Translate, for some reason it does show QSD8650A in the English version, but the original, and the subsequent English text on the Polish site clearly state QSD8650, so that's maybe where Engadget got confused.
We wish the Poles had a better camera, but nevertheless they posted a good short video of the E900 interface, which we are posting below. There is one more video of the camera/gallery interface in the source link.
Asked about the release timing, an LG official answered that "it is difficult to release specifics of the new phones now as we are in discussions with mobile communication firms and Microsoft over the launch, but LG Electronics is developing them with a goal to lead the market for Window Phone 7-based smartphones."
Speculations are that the LG E900 will appear first in Europe for WP7's launch in October there, and the US should be getting the QWERTY-equipped Pacific/C900 announced around that same time on AT&T, but surprises are flocking from everywhere regarding Windows Phone 7.
